1. Summary

Thread Stash is a local-first mobile app. Information you enter into the app, such as your inventory, projects, and related thread details, is stored locally on your device.

We do not require you to create an account to use Thread Stash, and we do not sell your personal information.

2. Information the app handles

Depending on how you use Thread Stash, the app may handle:

• thread inventory details you enter
• project names, notes, and thread requirements you enter
• photos you take for thread scanning
• text recognized from those photos to help identify thread numbers

3. How information is used

The app uses this information only to provide its features, including:

• saving and organizing your thread inventory
• managing projects and shopping lists
• scanning thread labels from photos you choose to take
• extracting likely thread numbers from images you provide

4. Camera and photos

If you use the scanning feature, Thread Stash may request access to your device camera so you can take a photo of a thread label. If you do not grant camera access, you can still use the app’s manual entry features.

Images you take for scanning are used to support recognition of thread numbers within the app experience.

5. Storage and processing

Thread Stash is designed so that your inventory and project data are stored locally on your device.

Text recognition for the scan flow is used only to support the app’s functionality. If your device or platform provider handles any part of that processing, it is also subject to that provider’s own policies.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not intentionally collect or share your thread inventory, project data, or photos with Caracara Software except as required to make platform features work on your device.

7. Data retention

Your data remains on your device until you edit or delete it, remove the app, or your device removes it.

Device-level backup services provided by Apple, Google, or other platform providers may back up app data according to your settings and those providers’ policies.

8. Your choices

• edit or delete thread and project information in the app
• delete individual projects or thread requirements from projects
• deny camera permissions through your device settings
• delete the app to remove locally stored app data from your device

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown above.
